When she returns to her native South-West village to sell her family home, Sheila Spanghetto finds her little village of Ovalie exactly as it was fifteen years ago when she left for Paris. The men here live only for the 'third-half' of rugby, leaving the daily burden of domestic chores to their compliant women.
Sheila, who is not the type to bow down in front of such injustice, is revolted by this state of affairs. Under pressure from the villagers, who put all their hopes in her, and with the help of Mémé Spanghetto, a true local legend whose mere name evokes terror in the most valiant of the pillars of society, she sets out to defy the males on their own territory.
At the end of a legendary match, life will no longer be the same in the quiet little village of Ovalie.
